Through the lens of Yogic and Vedic Philosophy, mythology, story, ritual we explore She beautifully merges the ancient philosophies with modern relevance through the classes, workshops and retreats she holds. "Times up, rules change" - ooooh I like a bad ass Oz, even if he's a wolf.In this conversation I’m diving in with Eliza Giles - a Yoga Practitioner of over a decade who has dedicated countless hours to the study, the exploration and the celebration of Yogic systems. Random dialog: "Oz ate someone last night" per Cordellia great? (haaahaaa) The hug Angel gives Buffy is everything (and showcases how big Angel is and how small Buffy is because he's on his knees and has to tilt his head to the side so it's just off her chest instead of her stomach, which is what I think they were going for. Between Buffy painting Angel that way (to describe him going Angelus) and then the high school couple. You know, normal senior stuff.Īnd this episode's theme is domestic abuse. Now she has to deal with her feral boyfriend she stabbed through the heart by chaining him up. she goes through so much before even graduating from high school.

(When you watch something that airs as a weekly tv show, the timeline is sometimes a tad off).īuffy. I know we saw him at the end of the last episode, but I had wondered if it was going to take more than one episode until Buffy was aware. I find it interesting that for most of the fighting the slayers do, they rarely sport bruises, but have two slayers fight and they have bore signs of it the next day.
Maybe it would have been harder had the welder been not-human. For something that everyone was so afraid of, it was easy to stop. The big bad glove in this episode reminds me of The Witchblade. And they all agree that Angelus wasn't Angel, but here's Angel back and they keep mentioning him being a murderer.
However, as a group, they all welcomed Angel as part of the team when he was Angel. I thought Giles was pretty harsh but it fit better, it was his fancy way of saying "i'm not mad, I'm disappointed" - and I get it. I can't believe Xander brought up Ms Calendar as a way of pointing out how Buffy wasn't able to protect her friends before. A character that never buried his hatred for Angel, ever. And I don't get the point.Īnd of course it's Xander that sees Angel first, because that will end in a productive manner. Ugh, I don't remember the Willow and Xander things being across so many episodes. The big monster of the week and there was no lead in, it was all big speeches and moments - it all felt tongue in cheek.Ĭonsidering Buffy's history, not sure why she thought she could keep Angel a secret. Everyone is slightly out of character, as though they went out of their way to set it up so Xander could solve the problem/be the hero. This episode was very "over the top soap opera" feeling with Buffy and Angel (made more so with the music). Like the 'dead' saying they want to bake and Xander still thinking they meant food when they went to the hardware store. But seeing that it's his third year of hanging with Buffy and dealing wth the supernatural - I would have thought Xander would be more aware of what was happening. Keeping in mind that it's high school, Xander's crisis is warranted, Oz said it best that it's about his sense of self. The bully, Jack, is so far off being in high school. :)Ī funny thing is that the kids in high school don't really look like high school kids. And while Angel's entrance is over the top, I still loved the way he strutted in and said "His name is Angel" and threw a punch. I really love Giles's sass and snark, showing how Buffy is rubbing off on him. (Oooooh, I forgot about the telekinesis - but still, dude can barely move)Īnd just like that the tone of the episode changes, because while I remembered about the dancing I had forgotten about the human they killed. But how do you get them to do your bidding if you can't move. (Just like Jabba the Hut right?) It's not like they can deal out the punishments, they have to have the minions do it. He has to have someone pour water on him to keep him moist, how does that instill fear? And his arms are so little. ReWatch: Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Season 3Īhhhh, Wesley!!!! And the episode where Buffy and Faith dance, welcome to my brain.Īnd ehow does one as immobilized as he is amass an army and people that are afraid of him? I mean.
